Graduate Students
I welcome inquiries from prospective graduate students or postdoctoral researchers interested in joining the lab, as well as undergraduate students looking for research opportunities.
Graduate students: Please contact me well in advance of Cornell's application deadline (ideally by September or October of the year in which you plan to apply). In your email please include a cover letter that describes your interests and how they are a good fit with the lab, a CV with relevant experience, including your degrees and GPA, and the names of references.
Undergrads: Students joining the lab typically begin by interning on one of the summer tree swallow field research teams, which run from May-July of each year. We hold informational meetings about summer field work and undergraduate research opportunities early in the spring semester (Jan/Feb), and accept applications for research teams at that time. If this is potentially of interest to you please send me an email before the end of January.
